Why Workshops

This work was never meant to be done alone.

Colonial mentality is learned in community: at family tables, in school cafeterias, through media and medicine. Unlearning it can happen in community too.

The workbook gives you a private space to reflect. The workshops give you a room full of people who understand what it means to hide your lunch, to hear your family's food called "too much," or to measure your body against ideals that were never built for you.

You do not have to name it alone. You do not have to reclaim it alone.

The Three Workshops

One workbook, three live sessions

Each workshop covers part of the workbook. Work through those sections on your own, then come together to reflect, ask questions, and go deeper.

Workshop 1

Naming the Inheritance and Your Food Lineage

Sections 1 and 2. What colonial mentality is, how it shows up in food and body, and the foods you come from, including the ones you were taught to hide.

Workshop 2

Body Ideals and Reclaiming Without Rules

Sections 3 and 4. Tracing the messages you carry about your body to their source, and reconnecting with cultural foods without a new set of rules.

Workshop 3

Integration and Going Forward

Section 5 and guidance for continuing this work after the series ends, so what you have reclaimed stays with you.
